Frequently asked questions

HOW DO THESE MCT'S WORK AND HOW ARE THE ONES IN PHAT TEA DIFFERENT?

MCT's or Medium Chain Triglycerides are a special type of fat. These fats are metabolized differently than most of the common fats that people are familiar with like the fats in butter, steak or eggs. When MCT's are consumed they go directly to the liver and either quickly used as energy or to make ketones. They cannot be stored as fat.

The MCT oil in Phat Tea is called Caprylic Acid (C8 MCT Oil). The C8 denotes how many carbons it has. This particular MCT has been shown to be absorbed faster than other MCT's, produce more ketones and be easier on your stomach. Some lower quality MCT oil may cost you a dry cleaning bill if you don't make it to the bathroom in time.

why is there 5g of fibre in here?

Phat Tea contains 5g of soluble fiber from Gum Arabic or Acacia powder and this ingredient does two things:

1. Helps hold the MCT oil in emulsion after you shake it

2. Helps your digestive system
